I used OnlyFans for a month. The do's, don'ts and who probably shouldn't ever get on it.
Warning: While this post is not overly descriptive about sexual acts, it still talks about them.
So that happened.
Being single for over a year now made me really want to see women again, so I turned where most people do, Pornhub.
While I'm not proud of that, I dealt with sexual addiction when I was a teenager and it still plagues me to this day, it became apparent to me it wasn't enough. However, being on TikTok a lot I see a lot of women on there with OnlyFans links in their linktree accounts. I've heard of the site but the idea of paying to see a woman naked in 2023 just seemed absurd to me. Why should I pay to see you naked if I can see women just as hot (in many cases hotter) than her for free? Well in the end curiosity won when someone attempting to catphish me on a dating site used pictures of someone on OnlyFans, and I really wanted to see her naked.
Setting up the account is easy enough. Typical email, username (for the love of God some people actually use their real name! What's wrong with you?!), and password. Then to access content you add your debit or credit card, more on that later. After that you find creators and subscribe. There's two kinds of subscriptions, paid and "free", there's a good reason for the quotes. I'm doing this from the perspective of a straight man so it's only female creators I'll be referring to from here on out.
Paid
A paid subscription is MOSTLY straightforward. You pay a certain amount a month and get access to their content. Some women will engage with you over direct messaging, some don't do that at all. However, despite the fact you are already paying, some offer paid(locked) content on top of it. It's everything from more pictures and videos to them rating dick pics you sent them, and even custom videos. Luckily most of these women are very straightforward with what you're getting for your money. So before pushing that button make sure to see what they offer you after you pay just to subscribe. A good way to start is to wait for a month it's on sale, and some offer first month free.
The women who do engage with you in direct messaging are usually very kind, at least in my experience. They use terms of endearment to make you feel good about yourself, and some will send regular messages to you saying good morning or goodnight and will engage with your replies talking you up. Some it's because they do seem to be genuine people who like to talk to their fan base, while some it's because they're really wanting you to see their locked content. Either way, it's kind of nice being called "honey" again. Although I'm not a huge fan of being called, "daddy" by some, but that's just my preference.
"Free"
Alright, so these "free" accounts are better described as "PREPARE YOUR WALLET, NOTHING WORTH SEEING IS FREE" accounts. Besides a couple pictures at the top of their accounts, they tend to be riddled with ads promoting other accounts. These women will BOMBARD your DMs with their locked content and will offer ALL KINDS of services (legal of course) like sexting, video calls, and custom videos. Some will give links to their Snapchats so you can see them even more off site as well. These women ARE going to message you multiple times a day and you can never really know their intentions. Two women in particular were the main ones I talked to, both from the Ukraine, and I could never really get a good idea of what they wanted, besides my money. They would have normal conversation with me about life, interests, and various topics like that. Then they would do a 180 and start bugging me to pay $40 to see their latest photo set. They will tell you how much they care about you and just want to please you, but in the end they do just want your money, even if some of what they say about enjoying talking to you is true. This is their job in the end.
I do not recommend going for free accounts with some caveats. If you are just gonna buy pre-made pictures and videos and NOT engage in talking, beyond asking for specific content they already have, then you'll probably be good. However, I must stress this, DO NOT ENGAGE IN OTHER SERVICES. I decided to sext a few women on here and they really know how to get your money from you. The first session I did, she said it was $15 to sext. Three messages in she sends me locked content and won't engage in the sexting until I open it(aka pay $20 more), $300 later I finally get off. The content got progressively more expensive and she was playing on the fact I was already there and ready to go. Now ONE woman did not do this. $25 or opening a single video that cost up to $40 and she'd engage til completion, but multiple women do exactly what the first one did. I had one tell me $25 and then wouldn't engage until I sent her $150 (asking in increments, saying "give me $25 more and I'll be real nasty for you") and then she sent me two videos that were barely more than a minute each. An hour later was messaging me again asking if I wanted to sext and I'm just sitting there wondering what the hell I paid for.
Video calls aren't any better. I had three experiences with this. First one she gave me a price and then demanded I give her $100 more AFTER I sent the amount she said. She would not get on the call unless I did that. So, she set the price lower than it actually was to get more money out of me. Then I was limited to 20 minutes and if you are done before that she just says bye and gets off. The next one had me get on Skype with her and the whole call she seemed to ignore what I was saying the whole time. Then I saw the CapCut watermark at the end. Yes, she pre-made video call content that she just streams to you over Skype. The last one just avoided me at all cost after I paid. If I mentioned the video she'd say she was sick. I understand people do get sick but 3 weeks straight you had a cold? You can shoot a video having sex, take pictures and videos of yourself, but can't make a call that you promised would happen if I paid? It's just sketchy. So go into free accounts with the mindset of just getting the paid content and viewing it, nothing more.
Don't get on if you have a history of sexual addiction
I struggled with sexual addiction since I was in middle school, yes you read that right. I'd sneak onto the family computer IN MY PARENTS ROOM and look at porn. In all honesty, I'm probably the worst person to be on this kind of site, but I'm also ideal to the creators. In the one month I was on OnlyFans I spent over $1700. I'm trying to buy a house and just recklessly spent THAT much. I'm VERY money conscious and am meticulous with what I spend, but due to the impulsive nature of sexual addiction I just racked up my credit card without any regard for what was being spent (so feel free to Paypal me for taking one for the team). You WILL do it if you have a poor relationship with adult content. Do NOT get on the site if you have any history of sexual addiction. I advise you to talk to your therapist and if you don't have one GET HELP. It's a real thing that needs to be addressed in your life.
But to end this
I'm still very Libertarian in my ideals on any sex work, even prostitution, despite my own struggles I had with sexual addiction that continues to effect me to this day. In the end it's our individual choices that lead to us choosing not to engage with these sites that for some fuel addiction and for others are just a relief every now and then. While I did delete my account and have no plans to ever be on the site again, I do know that some will get on and be perfectly fine. This is going to be your choice at the end of the day whether or not you listen to my advice on this. OnlyFans can be a great way for the creators to make an income off of people viewing them, but you should always proceed with caution, especially if you are someone who struggles with sexual addiction and are prone to impulsive spending that may break from your normal behavior.
Hope you enjoyed reading.
Happy trails!
